Leave Types
Default annual allocation applies the first time a balance is created for an employee — you can still override it per-employee above.
"Allow apply even at 0/insufficient balance" is meant for things like Sick Leave — the employee can still submit the request; your approve/reject decision is what actually counts it as leave (approved, no salary impact) or turns it into an unapproved absence (rejected, 1 day's salary deducted per the Absent Penalty rule in Payroll).

Working Days & Weekend Settings
Select every day of the week that counts as a weekly holiday. This is used everywhere in the system — leave day-counting, attendance reports, and weekend work-hour tracking — and takes effect immediately.
Office Settings
Set the official office start time. Anyone checking in after this time (plus grace minutes) will be marked "Late".
Paste a direct link to your logo image and it will replace the icon on the login screen and top bar.
Check-ins within this distance of the office coordinates are treated as "Office (GPS)"; farther away is "Outside (GPS)". 100–200m is usually a safe range for a single building — but phone GPS can genuinely drift 100-500m indoors or on a weak signal, so the system already gives some automatic tolerance for that. If staff are getting blocked while actually at the office, widening this a bit is the quickest fix, and setting up the office WiFi IP below is the most reliable one.
If this matches, check-in/check-out is always allowed — it overrides a noisy GPS reading, since being on the office's own WiFi is a much more reliable signal than phone GPS indoors. Find your office's public IP by opening whatismyipaddress.com on the office WiFi. Separate multiple entries with commas — you can mix: a single IP (103.10.24.55), a prefix ending in a dot (103.87.45.) to match any last octet, or a range (160.25.9.30-160.25.9.44) to match everything in between.
When ON, a check-in or check-out outside the GPS radius or office WiFi above is rejected outright — not just labeled — so you can trust that every recorded attendance genuinely happened from the office. When OFF, out-of-range attempts still go through but are labeled "Outside" for your review. If neither GPS nor an office IP is set up above, nothing can be verified either way and this never blocks.

Payroll Rules
Controls how late penalties and overtime bonuses are calculated below — changes apply instantly, nothing is stored separately.
Late Penalty — Rule 1: Consecutive Days
Example: with 3 and 1 above — every 3 late days IN A ROW deducts 1 day's salary. Can trigger more than once in a month (e.g. a 6-day streak = 2 deductions). Employees get an in-app warning after their 2nd consecutive late day.
Late Penalty — Rule 2: Monthly Total
Example: with 7 above — if an employee is late 7 or more days total in one month (consecutive or not), 1 day's salary is deducted once for that month. This is independent of Rule 1 above — both can apply in the same month.
Absent Penalty
Every unexcused Absent day deducts this many days' salary — weekends, holidays, and any APPROVED leave never count as Absent, so this only ever hits genuine no-shows. This includes a leave request (e.g. Sick Leave applied at 0 balance) that gets REJECTED — once rejected, that day counts as Absent here too, unless it's approved instead, in which case it never costs anything.
Overtime & Weekend Work
Default 100% pays each employee their own normal per-minute rate for every completed overtime-threshold block worked past office hours (see threshold field above) — so overtime is always proportional to that person's actual salary, never a flat amount. Set above 100% for a bonus rate (e.g. 150%), or below for a lighter rate.
Applies to any hours an employee actually works on a configured weekly holiday (see Working Days & Weekend Settings). Always calculated and shown separately from normal-day overtime.
